Taking the Southeast Asian market as an example, a large amount of cargo transportation, coupled with the local logistics situation, has caused various problems in cross-border parcels. Seeing the peak season is approaching, what characteristics will Southeast Asia logistics present next? How should the seller make the layout in advance?

Under the epidemic, Southeast Asia logistics has these changes

As we all know, during the epidemic, due to travel restrictions, people’s demand for daily necessities and work equipment such as computer screens, desktop computers, home fitness equipment, and relatively large and bulky daily necessities has increased due to travel restrictions. At the same time, people have higher requirements for the timeliness of receiving packages, and they hope to know the status of packages as soon as possible. But under the epidemic, despite the rising demand for online shopping, whether people may receive packages in time, in addition to relying on the production of the product itself, more importantly, depends on whether the logistics and transportation are unblocked.

"Take the Southeast Asian market as an example. Southeast Asian governments have imposed varying degrees of movement restrictions on local people and adopted strict safety measures. This has had a great impact on the local logistics and delivery industry." First, according to the regulations and requirements of the local government, logistics companies need to arrange shifts of drivers and warehouse personnel in shifts. Due to shift shifts, insufficient manpower reduces the ability to handle packages;

Second, due to the increase in demand for home office equipment, the proportion of large-volume packages has increased, which means that the process of sorting and handling packages is more difficult, and it is necessary to increase the manpower of the operation team in each shift;

Third, in terms of last-mile parcel delivery, limited by the local government's regional blockade measures, logistics companies may reach a limited number of areas and customers for each delivery. In addition, limited by the volume and weight of the vehicle, it can only handle a small amount of large packages each time. As a result, logistics companies must increase the number of deliveries, and some parcels need to be delivered several times before they can reach customers. Even if the automatic operation pipeline has been equipped as planned, the overall efficiency is still affected to a certain extent.

In addition to local logistics and distribution problems, cross-border logistics also has to face a series of more severe restrictions such as reduced flights, customs closures, increased freight rates and slower timeliness. Those who can say that February to April are the most difficult months for China to sell products to Southeast Asia. It is precisely because of these factors that cross-border e-commerce sellers' sales have dropped by 2-4 times compared with about 6 months before the Spring Festival. However, with the rapid increase in overall e-commerce shopping, after April, the sales of Chinese sellers have re-emerged a substantial increase, compared with before the outbreak, it has increased by 2-3 times!
